It is all about marketing and they are not above "creative" ways of inflating those statistics. Staying open an extra weekend, maybe beyond Hunter and Windham, and simultaneously salvaging the bad press of the season's slow-start, would be a feather in Belleayre's cap.

Spring conditions came in December, the week after Christmas. It has been an upside-down season!
